Email Deliverability Problems, Bounces, and Drops

As you send more emails, you'll start to get data on the number of emails sent and the number of emails that were undeliverable. Often the first time you email you will see a larger number of undeliverable emails. This is generally caused by a few things:

  1. Typos - For example,,, etc. in your list, plus there could be typos in peoples’ names
  2. Out of date emails - people have changed employers, email addresses, etc.
  3. Their inbox is full

The undeliverable emails fall into two categories:

"Drop" - Our server can't connect to the receiving server

"Bounce" - The receiving server sent the email back to us as undeliverable

It's important for your overall email delivery that we work to keep the number of undeliverables low. So for future campaigns, we will automatically remove the dropped and bounced emails from your list.
