Manage Privacy
In today's online world where people do everything from deposit a check to schedule a doctor's appointment on the internet, maintaining data privacy is more important than ever. You should feel comfortable with any information posted on your website, and leads need to be able to rest easy knowing their personal data is secure.
AgentMethods sites are already built with security in mind, but here are some additional steps you may want to consider to bolster privacy.

Secure Form Information
By default, AgentMethods will email and optionally text you all information submitted via your quote forms. Because quote forms often collect sensitive customer information, including personally identifiable information ("PII") and personal health information ("PHI"), it is important to take precautions to secure this information so that a lost laptop or phone does not put customer information at risk. Additionally, email by default is sent "unsecured".
You can opt to secure your website forms by not having submitted information sent to you directly. Instead, you'll receive an email or text message notifying you of the new lead, with a link to log in and retrieve the information. The benefit of this is that customer information will not be arriving from your website to your email inbox or phone.

Hide Your Address
The footer section is found at the very bottom of your website and remains the same on every page. Your primary address is located in the footer section of your site.
If you would like to hide your address on your website, follow the steps in our guide here.
Secure Your Site with HTTPS and SSL
HTTPS is a more secure version of your website. It better protects your and your client's data, as well as helps your website rank higher in search engine results.
There are a number of important benefits to HTTPS:
- Keeping your website safe. Switching to HTTPS prevents hackers from being able to “see” the information your clients and prospects enter on your website.
- Ranking higher on Google. When someone uses Google search, Google gives preference to secure websites over non-secure ones. That means your site will rank higher than comparable non-secure insurance sites.
- Improving client trust. Clients who use your website want to know that you take their personal information seriously. Switching to HTTPS shows them their confidential information is safe with you.
- Appearing as more professional. Top businesses are switching to HTTPS because of the added security. It’s quickly becoming the new industry standard for professional websites.
