Send an Email Campaign to a Select Group of Contacts
For some campaigns, you may prefer to send an email to a select segment of contacts. For example, let's say you segmented your contacts by the following tags:
- Medicare
- Dental/Vision
- Life Insurance
- P&C
If you create a new campaign about life insurance, you may not want to send it to your medical insurance clients. This guide walks you through how to easily send an email campaign to a certain segment of contacts.

Send an Email to a Group of Contacts
Start by opening the email campaign that you'd like to send out. Within the email editor, click on the gray Schedule button.
A pop-up box will appear. Select Apply Filter next to the contacts section.
A new Tags field will appear. From here, you can select from two options:
- Contacts with ANY of these tags: Send your email to contacts who have been assigned any of the tags that you select
- Contacts with ALL of these tags: Send your email only to contacts who have been assigned to all of the tags you select. (Ex. If you select three tags, a contact must be assigned to all three tags in order to receive the email).
This tagging flexibility allows you to drill down into the specific contacts that your message is relevant to. For example, if you'd like to only send your campaign to Medicare recipients who live in New York, you could select "New York" and "Medicare" tags, then click the requirement of Contacts with ALL of these tags.
From the dropdown menu, select the contact tags that you'd like to send the email to.
Once you've selected your tags, click the green Schedule button to save your changes.
Now, your email will be sent out only to the contact tags that you've selected.
