Unsubscribe a Contact

Anytime you send out a marketing email, it's important that you have permission from your contact to email them. The US's CAN-SPAM legislation mandates that contacts also have an easy way to unsubscribe from future marketing emails from any business.

There are two ways to manually unsubscribe a contact from future marketing emails. They can unsubscribe themselves through marketing emails, or you can unsubscribe them directly through your AgentMethods platform.

Unsubscribe via Email Footer

If the contact replied to an email sent via AgentMethods, there is a unique unsubscribe link in the footer that is tied to their email address.

Simply scroll down to the bottom of the email and click on the Unsubscribe link to remove their address.

Unsubscribe via AgentMethods Contacts

You can also manually remove someone from the contacts list on your AgentMethods account.

Head to the  Contacts page

Find the contact you'd like to unsubscribe using the Search Contacts search bar.

When you find the contact you'd like to edit. Click the Modify icon.

A pop-up will appear. Adjust the Newsletter and Campaign dropdown menus, and select   Unsubscribe for the marketing materials you'd like to unenroll the contact from.

Be sure to click the green Submit button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
