This guide will walk you through how to access the Site Settings page, as well as each editable section and what it does.

Access the Site Settings Page

Start by clicking Website in the left-hand navigation of the AgentMethods platform.

This will take you to the website builder! From here, simply click on Site Settings on the top navigation bar.

You'll be redirected to the site settings page. From here, you can edit all of the sections in this guide.

Save Changes

When making any changes on the Site Settings page, don't forget to save! Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the green Save Site Settings button to make sure your changes are saved.

When editing any of your Site Settings, you MUST save your settings at the bottom of the page!

Lead Notification

Whenever someone fills out a new form on your website, a lead is generated. Lead notifications notify you whenever a new lead is created.  This section lets you customize your lead notifications.

Secure Form Fields

By default, AgentMethods will email and optionally text you all lead information submitted via your quote forms. Because quote forms often collect sensitive customer information, including personally identifiable information ("PII") and personal health information ("PHI"), it is important to take precautions to secure this information.

You can opt to  not have information submitted via your quote forms sent to you, and instead receive an email or text message notifying you of the new lead, with a link to log in and retrieve the information.

To do this, toggle the Secure Form Fields button on. This will automatically secure every form on your site, protecting all client information.

Email Leads To

Here, you can customize which email addresses receive lead notifications. Click Add Email  and type in the email address you'd like to send lead notifications to.

To delete an email, click the red trash icon to the right of the email.

Send Text Messages

Turn this toggle switch on if you'd like to receive lead notifications to your mobile phone. A box will appear, where you can add your mobile phone number.

Header and Footer Code

Need to set up Google Analytics on your website? Add in custom HTML? You can do so by editing the Header and Footer.

Simply copy and paste your custom HTML or tracking codes to the Header or Footer sections, then save your changes at the bottom of the page.

Redirect Links

Redirect links are useful if you have an old marketing website with the same domain name. In general, the AgentMethods support team will handle the redirect process for you during onboarding.

We will create redirect links from your old pages, and tell Google where to find the new versions of the pages on the current website. That way, if a customer clicks on an old version of your website they will automatically be redirected to the new page.

If you'd like to add a redirect link, start by typing in the "old" page name in the first box.

A dropdown will appear in the second box. Select the new AgentMethods page that you'd like to redirect to, then save you changes.

Robots.txt File

A Robots.txt file instructs web robots (such as search engine crawlers) how to crawl the pages on your website. You use it to tell web crawling software what parts of your website to crawl or not to crawl.

For more information see our page on Adding a Robots.txt File.

Header

In the Header section, you'll see options for customizing your website header.

Hide Dropdown Menu

By toggling this switch, you will hide the dropdown menu in your site's navigation bar.

Make Header Sticky

By toggling this switch, you will keep the header of your website in the same place as a user scrolls down the page. That way, a website visitor won't have to scroll to the top of the page to see your site header.
